NEW Single Release: DIET. - 'Clothes Off'
DIET. is a 5-piece Surf Pop band hailing from Melbourne. Over the last two years the boys have had songs such as ‘VB’ and ‘Your House’ aired on both triple j and triple j Unearthed, and just today, released their newest single, ‘clothes off’ that they recorded with Dan Caswell.
At first listen, I was immediately drawn to the guitar and felt the summery goodness oozing out of my speakers. The echo given on some of the notes reminds me of an old school beachy classic that I can’t quite put my finger on. This “ode to streaking”, as the band calls it, has such a playful tone to it, not only in its concept but also within the musical arrangement and lyrics. I can see myself partying up to this song for sure!
